You won't find chain stores lining the historic streets of Shepherdstown - our shops* are locally-owned and independently-operated.  You are likely to be greeted by the owner of the shop as you walk in - who better to help you make the perfect choice to take home as a souvenir of your visit? 

It is a delight to browse and buy in our extensive array of stores.  We have local and American-made arts and crafts, potpourri, imported French delights, infant and toddler clothes and gifts, shoes, women's dresses and clothing, Vera Bradley handbags, jewelry, crystals and dreamcatchers in our compact downtown. 

On Sundays, starting in the spring and continuing through the holidays, enjoy shopping for fresh-grown produce, locally-raised meats, homemade baked goods and cut flowers and plants at our Farmers Market.
